A person has been arrested and will appear in the Youth Court this week in relation to Friday night's fire at Antonio Hall.
Property manager Sam Yau had lived in the building before the Christchurch earthquake but moved out afterwards due to the damage caused.
He says after the quake they installed 24 hour security.
Yau says the building has been burgled so often, it feels like he's called police thousands of times.
