    The Trade Minister's hoping Spain can help him push for a free trade deal with the European Union


    David Parker's on his way to the country, to find out where its new administration sits on the idea of a deal.

    He says it's likely to be less threatened by our exports than other EU countries.

    Parker will also be visiting Ireland - which he says is more concerned about the power of New Zealand's dairy exports.
