An Otago man is the first unlicensed builder to be prosecuted ... under the Crimes Act

Mosgiel man, Rodney Day, has pleaded guilty to 15 charges including four of forgery, in the Christchurch District Court.
He was charged with 11 offences for falsely portraying himself to be a licensed building practitioner, doing restricted work, and signing off work using another practitioner's licensed number.
Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment says Day deliberately misled people's for his own financial gain, which won't be tolerated.
Day is being sentenced at the end of September.
