In recent weeks, referees have found themselves in the spotlight for mostly all the wrong reasons after a string of contentious and incorrect decisions.
Annesley says they'll spend a fair bit of time examining the current rules and whether they can make the game easier to officiate
The competition committee will meet at the end of the year and Annesley says they'll investigate any potential changes before getting rubber-stamped by the ARL Commission.
