The Black Caps have found something to take their minds off the World Cup final "loss" to England

The Black Caps have found something to take their minds off the World Cup final "loss" to England

The team is about to disband after a campaign which saw them get within one run of an inaugural triumph, but earned respect throughout the cricketing world.

Coach Gary Stead is already looking to new horizons with the start of the Test Championship and a series coming up in Sri Lanka.

Hurricanes captain Dane Coles is gutted to lose first five and good friend Beauden Barrett to the Blues.

The two time World Player of the Year announced his move north last week before flying out with the All Blacks to Argentina.

Coles has lightheartedly suggested he's still talking to Barrett ... just.

While the on water fundamentals have remained constant, Emma Twigg has felt a mental shift in 2019.

New Zealand's single sculler has won both World Cup regatta's and the Henley royal regatta in her return to international competition for the first time since the Rio Olympics.

Twigg says perspective has given her a different and more mature view around how to approach racing.
