Higher petrol and rent prices have driven up the Consumers Price Index

It's up by point six percent in the June 2019 quarter.
Stats NZ says petrol prices have risen by 5.8 percent this quarter, with the average price of 91 octane $2.13 a litre.
This is up from 2.01 a litre last quarter.
Meanwhile... rental prices rose 1 percent this quarter... the largest quarterly rise since March 2008.
