Hawke's Bay have overcome a late surge from the Canterbury to book their spot in the National Basketball League final

Hawke's Bay have overcome a late surge from the Canterbury to book their spot in the National Basketball League final

The Hawks won the semi-final 74-68, despite trailing with three minutes remaining.

Hawke's Bay coach Zico Coronel says when the Rams hit three three pointers in a row and took the lead Canterbury had all the momentum in the fourth quarter.

But thankfully they didn't panic and finished strongly.

Hawke's Bay will play the Wellington Saints in today's final, after they beat the Southland Sharks.
