An Auckland advocacy group admits there's not much we can do about the city's traffic woes

An Auckland advocacy group admits there's not much we can do about the city's traffic woes

An AA report's revealed the congestion is set to worsen - with 250-thousand more cars expected over the next decade.

Greater Auckland's Matt Lowrie says we're undeniably on the back foot, and investment's not happening fast enough.

But he says the reality is it's not simple - and building more roads would make worsen congestion and lead to greater emissions.

Last year, Auckland motorists averaged 85 hours a year sitting in traffic.
