Bringing a Peppa Pig car into the country ... has cost a toy importer 45 thousand dollars in fines

The unlicensed toy had small parts that could be a choking hazard for young children.

First Mart has pleaded guilty in the Manukau District Court to importing over 800 of the toys.

It sold 540 to various retailers.

Sixty-one have been returned after a recall notice.
