New Zealand is heading into its 30th-straight month of above-average temperatures.
Federated Farmers national vice president Andrew Hoggard says the impact of a dry-spell depends on when it hits, and for how long.
He says as warmer temperatures continue, farmers will have to adapt.
He says there could be more autumn calving if there are warmer winters and drier summers.
