The Auckland Tuatara plan to revolutionise sporting entertainment in New Zealand

The Auckland Tuatara plan to revolutionise sporting entertainment in New Zealand

The Kiwi baseball franchise is planning on bringing in quote, "75 year old dancing Grannies" as their cheerleaders for home games throughout the upcoming Australian Baseball League season.

General Manager Regan Wood says they need to create a different form of excitement.

He says a lot of sport teams are afraid to deviate from the intensity of sport and because New Zealand isn't a baseball country, he wants to have fun with that.

The ABL season starts in November.
