Hopes for the future from the father of a six year old girl killed by a truck on her way home from school

Coroner Tim Scott says Carla Neems should have been accompanied by an adult.

Her dad Dion Neems says he hopes we don't start taking away kids' freedom and self-confidence.

He says parents know their children well and assess those risks.

Neems says he hopes we don't turn into a nanny state where we're wrapping kids in cotton wool.
