Search and Rescue are on standby in Queenstown - to make sure nobody is trapped after an avalanche

Emergency services were called to the Remarkable Skifield shortly before 2.
Manager Ross Lawrence says there'd been an avalanche one ridge over from the main skifield.
He told the Otago Daily Times their ski-patrol have completed a search - and at this point they don't believe anyone was caught up in it.
The New Zealand Avalanche Advisory say the Queenstown area is currently at considerable risk.
