Wellington Phoenix defender Steven Taylor admits he was surprised to see rising Kiwi footballer Sarpreet Singh jump ship to Europe in the offseason

Singh moved from the Wellington Phoenix to German giants Bayern Munich last month and has since played in five of their preseason games.

Taylor, who will captain the 'Nix in the upcoming A-League season, says Singh's transfer to Bayern was surprising, but he's in full support of the move.

He says it's a no brainer move for Singh, and even thou he's in the under 23's, he has a good chance at making the first team.
