Jacinda Ardern was beginning her first day as the youngest ever leader of the Labour Party.
Andrew Little, suffering from a string of bad polls, had quit, saying he couldn't win the upcoming election.
Jacindamania was born - and less than two months later, she came the second youngest Prime Minister in history even though Labour on 37 percent trailed National on 44 by almost two hundred thousand votes.
Winston Peters anointed her after winning just seven percent of the vote.
Ardern's fairy dust this week began settling with the Colmar Brunton poll seeing her personal rating drop four percent.
