A shopper at St Lukes Mall in Auckland has described the moment two armed offenders stormed a jewellery store, smashing display cabimets

A shopper at St Lukes Mall in Auckland has described the moment two armed offenders stormed a jewellery store, smashing display cabimets

The robbers allegedly armed with bats and a hammer and wearing white masks, took a quantity of jewellery from Michael Hill Jewellers.

Shopper Sophie says that with the Christchurch attack on her mind... the incident left her shaken.

She says the first thing that came to her mind was that someone was shooting, which is sad.

Another shopper on Facebook says they could see at least six police cars and a helicopter at the mall.

There are no confirmed reports of a gun being used in the robbery.
