Michael Venus is hailing his mental toughness as a key factor in his rise to the elite of men's doubles

The Kiwi will climb to a career high of eight in the rankings later today after capturing his 10th career title at the ATP 500 tournament in Washington DC with South African partner Raven Klaasen.

Venus says he feels he belongs alongside the best doubles exponents

Venus and Klaasen are up to second in the race to qualify among the leading eight teams for the season ending ATP finals in London.
