Jim Boult has formally put his name forward for the Queentown Lakes District Council mayoralty race.
He says the area is continuing to face challenges around visitor and population growth... and that needs careful managing.
Boult says the visitor levy needs finalising... and the council needs to continue doing more about housing, infrastructure and lessening growth pains on local residents.
Al Angus has also put his name forward for the mayoralty.
