More than 200 volunteers will work alongside DOC and Defence Force staff on the final two days.
More than 13-thousands bags of rubbish have been removed from the Fox and Cook Rivers and South Westland coastline after huge rains in March caused a spill from the old Westland District landfill.
DOC Director General Lou Sanson says people from all around New Zealand, as well as travellers have joined the incredible effort.
He says he's been blown away by the energy and enthusiasm of the volunteers
