The NRL is backing its on-field referees and bunker's call to sinbin Adam Blair in the win over Manly

The NRL is backing its on-field referees and bunker's call to sinbin Adam Blair in the win over Manly

The decision to send the Warriors forward to the bin for impeding a player chasing an attacking kick into the in-goal has divided opinion.

But NRL head of football Graham Annesley in his weekly briefing says it was the right call as Blair stuttered when running back and changed his movement.

The All Blacks have rallied around Scott Barrett as they prepare to look forward after going back to the Perth nightmare.

The squad has completed its video review of the defeat to Australia, which saw Barrett red-carded for connecting with the head of Wallabies captain Michael Hooper.

Hooker Dane Coles says Barrett at one point got up to try and apologise, but coach Steve Hansen told him it wasn't necessary.

A disconnect of old school and new school is how golfer Jason Day is describing the reasons behind splitting with his kiwi caddie Steve Williams.
