Co-author of a report into colonoscopy at the DHB - Phil Bagshaw - says they found major systemic problems - including patients being refused colonoscopies, a bullying culture and under-resourcing.
Southern DHB CEO, Chris Fleming says they take the matter very seriously and have moved promptly to address its key recommendations.
He says they are moving forward on trying to build relationships among the clinicians.
