The man in his fifties, reappeared in court trying to recoup some of the costs of clearing his name - after being found not guilty by a jury last year.
He was charged with indecently assaulting three young girls and trying to make intimate visual recordings of two of them.
Jonathan Eaton, QC, told the court, in other cases exonerated defendants have got six-figure payments.
He was highly critical of the prosecution - saying it featured false allegations and was poorly investigated.
The Crown opposed the application for costs.
Judge Kevin Phillips has reserved his decision.
