A Tauranga mother's urging parents to take the perils of measles seriously after her twin toddlers had nearly a week in hospital

Stephanie Peen's nightmare began after her 6-month-old recovered from a mild case of the measles.
Then her three-year-old twins fell ill.
One was vomiting blood and had a temperature in the 40s.
She says there were times she wondered if they'd pull through.
The twins had been given one dose of the MMR vaccine, but the second wasn't due until they turn four.
