The subjects of two major manhunts across the South Island will appear in court today

24-year-old Hori Gemmell will appear in the Invercargill District Court following a dramatic police pursuit in Gore on Thursday.
He was taken into custody yesterday afternoon.
He's appearing on multiple charges including reckless driving, theft, unlawful possession of a pistol and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.
Meanwhile, the target of a nine day manhunt across Canterbury will appear in the Christchurch District Court today.
21-year-old Liam Strickland is believed to have been driving a stolen van when a pedestrian was hit and killed in Christchurch last week.
