Scott Dixon's remains in the hunt for a sixth Indycar Championship

Scott Dixon's remains in the hunt for a sixth Indycar Championship

The latest race at Pocono has been called off due to impending thunderstorms, meaning race leader Will Power was declared the winner with Dixon second.

Competition leader Josef Newgarden was fifth, seeing Dixon close to within 52 points of the series' lead with three races left.

Justin Thomas is back in golf's winners circle.

The American has won the FedEx Cup's penultimate event in Illinois by three strokes and leads the standings heading into this week's Tour Championship.

Daniil Medvedev looms as a threat at next week's US Tennis Open after capturing the Cincinnati Masters title.

He's beaten David Goffin in straight sets and will climb to five in the ATP rankings.

Medvedev reached the final in Washington DC and Montreal before his latest victory.
