Super-sized Lime e-scooters are on their way to Auckland

Super-sized Lime e-scooters are on their way to Auckland

The US-based company says its third generation G3 scooter has been released in Berlin and will arrive in Auckland soon.

It's bigger and chunkier than the scooter on New Zealand streets.

There's a bigger baseboard, the size of the wheels has been boosted from 8-inches to 10-inches, and spring suspension has been replaced with mountain bike-style shocks.

Bigger wheels and better suspension should also reduce the chance of falls.
