A former Taranaki police officer has been sent to jail on multiple counts of theft, forgery, and obtaining by deception

Shaun Keenan last year to admitted pocketing more than 480-thousand-dollars when he was CEO of the Ngati Te Whiti Whenua Topu Trust.
Police say his offending's devastated the Ngati Te Whiti community.
Keenan's been sentenced to three years and eight months' in prison, and been ordered to pay 75-thousand-dollars in reparation.
