Naomi Osaka's knee injury has flared up in lead-up to US Tennis Open title defence

Naomi Osaka's knee injury suffered in the lead-up to her US Tennis Open title defence has improved and she doesn't expect it to limit her performance in the year's final grand slam

The world No.1's participation in the major was put in serious doubt recently when she retired from a quarter-final in Cincinnati where she felt pain around her left knee after coming down on her leg following her service motion.

However, Osaka says her leg's getting better and she's been playing more and for longer each day.
