Today, free measles vaccinations are being offered in South Auckland as the number of cases nationwide tops 900.
Well over half are in Auckland, particularly Counties Manukau.
The outbreak is the worst in 22 years and authorities are warning parents not to take children to Auckland without being vaccinated first.
Schools are telling students to stay home and some sports competitions have been cancelled.
The Ministry yesterday activated the National Health Coordination Centre.
