A Hastings district councillor says gang patches should be banned in all public places

A Hastings district councillor says gang patches should be banned in all public places

Mongrel Mob members wore their patches at a tangi at Hastings Cemetery last month, and damaged a number of headstones.

Malcolm Dixon says the patch is a symbol of authority which needs to be removed.

He says the Police Minister needs to put regulations before Parliament.
