An Auckland architect's been found guilty of stealing trade secrets

46-year-old Michael Davies was convicted of stealing confidential and commercially sensitive material, for a pecuniary advantage.
Davies stole thousands of computer files from his old firm Context Architects, which included project files, and details of contract negotiations with Housing New Zealand.
He'd been charged nine times... but was found guilty of eight.
the Judge declined his lawyer's application for a discharge without conviction.
Each charge carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment.
