Hundreds of SkyCity Casino workers in Auckland are continuing their strike for weekend and night rates

It was a near-unanimous vote yesterday afternoon for union members to hold a weekend strike for the second time in a row... over the casino's busiest period.

Unite Union national secretary Gerard Hehir says SkyCity refused to budge during mediation on Friday.

He says they've offered a range of suggestions to try and meet the employer's concerns.
