Bay of Plenty's Medical Officer of Health says it'd be inappropriate to cancel the AIMS Games without restricting lots of other movement

11,000 students are taking part in the event in Tauranga from New Zealand and the Pacific.

The country's had more than eleven hundred cases this year, more than 800 in Auckland region.

He says there was a rugby test in Hamilton on Saturday, and flights and buses travel between cities each day.
