    A step closer to the development of Queenstown and Wanaka airports

    A step closer to the development of Queenstown and Wanaka airports


    Queenstown Lakes District Council is asking for tenders to assess the economic and social impact of airport developments.

    QLDC Chief Executive Mike Theelen says they want to understand the possible positive and negative economic effects.

    He says they also want to know the social impacts on the immediate communities.

    Theelen says they hope to have the work get underway by the end of October.
