A public health expert says New Zealand's behind on its Smokefree 2025 goal - but smoker behaviour is changing

An Otago University study's found smokers have become less likely to leave cigarette and tobacco packs visible at cafes and bars.
It observed patrons at 56 Wellington venues.
Professor Nick Wilson says there was also less smoking around children.
He says it's good to see smokers being sensitive to children.
Wilson says it aligns well with Government plans to ban smoking in cars with children present.
