Sydney Roosters' Jared Waerea-Hargreaves cleared of careless high tackle

The Sydney Roosters' Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has been cleared of a careless high tackle for Friday's finals match against South Sydney

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

He's successfully argued to the NRL judiciary that his hit on Liam Knight had been a "rugby league accident".

The Rabbitohs prop suffered a gash above his left eye and must pass concussion protocols to play the return fixture.

Elsewhere, Canberra's Hudson Young has been banned for eight games after finding Warrior Adam Pompey's eyeballs with his fingers.

That's despite Pompey defending Young via videolink.

Young copped a five-game ban earlier in the season over a similar incident.
