11 September 2019
A 27-year-old man's appearing in Hutt Valley District Court today charged with murdering Lois Tolley in December 2016.
She was shot at point-blank range in her flat in an execution-style attack.
Mayor Wayne Guppy says the arrest's a testament to the police's patience and professionalism.
He says it sends out a message that no offenders are safe and police will get you.
