The staffer at the centre of the saga has resigned after allegations of bullying and sexual assault - but he denies the accusations.
Nigel Haworth also resigned as Labour Party president on Wednesday.
Political editor Barry Soper says that's pivotal heading into an election year, and the Party's going to have to start from scratch.
He says a party president's powerful because they have to sign off all the election candidates, and also bring in funding.
