    Billy Stairmand is the second Kiwi surfer to claim an Oceania slot for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics


    Stairman has progressed through to the final 16 of the World Surfing Games in Japan.

    Stairmand joins Ella Williams who earlier in the week claimed the women's Oceania slot.
