    Austria has sealed a spot in the Davis Cup tennis World Group qualifiers next year despite a shock loss for world number five Dominic Thiem


    Austria has beaten Finland 3-2 in Helsinki, despite Thiem losing 6-3 6-2 to Finland's world number 163 Emil Russsuvuori.

    Denis Novak won a deciding fifth singles rubber to clinch the tie for Austria.
