    A packed Whanganui courtroom this morning as a man's faced charges over the death of a local mother


    The 28-year-old has pleaded not guilty to injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and assault with intent to injure, in the death of Jasmine Wilson.

    Wilson died in hospital on August 2, days after suffering 'non-accidental injuries'.

    Her parents were among a full public gallery at the Whanganui District Court.

    The man is also denying several cannabis charges, and has had interim name suppression extended.

    Three others appeared in court, facing charges of perverting the course of justice.
