Two men have been jailed for a series of armed robberies throughout Auckland

Ivan Carr and Steven Anderson were sentenced this morning for the crime spree that began in October 2017.

They included daylight robberies of Armourguard cash vans and a "home invasion" at a motel.

Their criminal activities spanned six months - and netted them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Carr was sentenced to 16 years' imprisonment with a minimum of eight years behind bars, and Anderson has been jailed for five years and 10 months.
