Obesity in New Zealand children has been overestimated for the past three years

A measurement error was found in the New Zealand health survey - overstating kids' obesity by about one percentage point.
About 7000 children were falsely classified as obese.
Public Health deputy director Dr Harriette Carr says some measurements of children's height and weight were muddled.
She says survey staff are being retrained.
