Auckland Council is refusing to comment on allegations of aggressive behaviour by a senior officer

Auckland Council is refusing to comment on allegations of aggressive behaviour by a senior officer

A council whistleblower has passed on the claims to the Herald - with confirmation from multiple sources.

The allegations include an incident at last year's All Blacks test against France at Eden Park, an expletive-ridden after-hours phone call, and mediation with a colleague.

Chief executive Stephen Town has declined an interviewed.

He says Council doesn't comment on individual employment matters, and that it's not appropriate to discuss how they are dealt with.
