    Three people have been taken to Auckland Hospital, at least one seriously injured, after a major crash north of Auckland


    Police were called to the incident on State Highway 1, near the intersection with Valerie Close, just south of Warkworth soon before 2.

    It's believed the collision involved a truck and a car.

    The road's been closed, and diversions have been put in place.

    There are long queues of traffic in the area.
