A former mayor has slammed Lianne Dalziel's handing of allegations of inappropriate behaviour by a councillor

A former mayor has slammed Lianne Dalziel's handing of allegations of inappropriate behaviour by a councillor

Councillor Deon Swiggs has revealed he's been accused of inappropriate social media posts to young people - and denies it.

Concerns were first raised with the mayor in May.

She asked Swiggs to stay away from events with young people and suggested restorative justice.

Bob Parker says this should have gone to full council.

He says he doesn't know if the mayor has the right to act as she has without council support.

Parker says the whole council considers code of conduct issues - and this has been ignored.
