New research could mean doctors are able to tell if someone's at risk of heart disease - years before it strikes

The University of Otago's Heart Institute has discovered hormone levels from a routine blood test help predict the risk of heart disease later.
Researcher Dr Tim Prickett says low levels of the hormone BNP can point to heart troubles later on.
He says this could help people turn things around - before it's too late.
Prickett says it can let people know lifestyle changes are urgently needed.
