27 September 2019
A 17-year-old girl was allegedly grabbed at a Mt Roskill car park then attacked in a nearby street, last Friday.
The man appeared in the Tauranga District Court this morning, but no pleas were entered for the two charges.
He's been remanded in custody, to next appear in the Auckland District Court on the 18th of October.
Police are continuing to investigate - including reports of a similar attack on a 29-year-old woman in Blockhouse Bay.
They believe the two incidents may be linked, and are working to identify a second man.
