A survey reveals youth suicide rates could be addressed if the stigma of talking about mental health was removed

A Youthline commissioned survey found the biggest issues faced by youth today relate to mental health - with 83 percent citing issues like depression and anxiety.

CEO Shae Ronald says although more young people are dying from suicide, more people are reaching out to Youthline for help.

She says its great young people are speaking up about anxiety and depression - hopefully preventing further harm.
