On the North Shore, a man was found guilty of illegally dumping waste and inorganic waste from his gardening and cleaning businesses.
In Waitakere, a woman pleaded guilty to failing to disclose information about a person who dumped commercial quantities of green waste while driving her truck.
Mayor Phil Goff says the prosecutions send a clear message to illegal dumpers -- they will be caught and they will face consequences.
Auckland Council says its crackdown on dumping is also leading to a steady decline in the amount of waste being dumped.
